Major flop in the giveaway department. I told you I would have one for you last Friday, but we had a little hiccup. But crossing my fingers it will all be set for next week! Don't lose hope 😉 Instead, lets take a break from all these serious posts lately and enjoy a little laugh or two on this Tuesday. (I have my World History mid-term...laughing is going to be needed).
Do you know how hard it is to take photos of yourself in complex yoga poses? Well, it is. Whenever I do, I have to set up my camera on my tripod outside. Then position my mat far enough away and get everything straight and centered. Then I set the timer on the camera for the longest it will go (10 seconds!). Then I press the shutter button and run to my mat and try to fling myself into some crazy pose without breaking anything. It's a good time. It's hard to get into some when you need to balance but you have to rush and beat the timer.
I also set the camera to take multiple shots which gives me some more time. Most of these photos are actually of that. The process of getting into and falling out of a pose. So not totally a fail, just part of the process in the quest for the best 😉 Here we go!
Really, it is a good time. I even got a remote for my camera last Christmas, but by the time I went to use it this summer, the batteries were dead. Gotta get new batteries :/ Another concern I have when doing this is running barefoot through the grass during prime bee season. One day I will step on a bee...and can already see it. Those will be some funny outtakes 😉 At least I eventually accomplish my goal though!
This has to be one of my favorite shots, haha! I use it all the time 😉
So tell me:
+ The outtake shots. Do you save them and look back on them later for laughs? Yes I do, even my food pictures. Gotta keep the memories!
+ Have you ever stepped on a bee?! I could only imagine how painful that would be.....

These are great. You need a helping hand to take the pics for you! But then you'd miss out on all the bloopers, so I guess it's good you're running and hoping for the best 🙂
Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine
Hahaha yes! It just clearly shows how you HAVE TO be relaxed and calm to effectively nail those Asanas 😉
Katherines Corner
love the blooper photos . You are lean and strong I appreciate the last photo and the strength and conviction it takes. Thank you for sharing at the Thursday Favorite Things blog hop xo
Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine
Haha, thanks Katherine!
Michelle @ Vitamin Sunshine
Even without perfect poses, I can tell how strong yoga has made you! Wow. I have been working on that last pose for a while and can't hold it that well yet!
Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine
Nailing poses just makes me have an even deeper love and drive to further my practice! It just amazes me what the body can do!
Heather O'Neill
This is a fun post! I can't do half of those poses so I'm impressed either way! 🙂
Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine
Hahaha, practice makes perfect 😉
Candace
Part of yoga is to just keep at it! These are wonderfully honest. PS you are shredded. #motivation
Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine
These are just bloopers from rushing and in-action shots of getting into the pose, haha!
Thanks 😛
Skye
I love to see "outtakes" from bloggers because it's a good reminder of how hard they work, and not to take them for granted!
Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine
Haha, yes! Thanks Skye 🙂 It just adds to the fun and experience of blogging!
Michele @ paleorunningmomma
I seriously don't know how you get so many great action shots! I can barely snap a picture of a tree on my runs 🙂
Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine
That's why a lot of them look like this! Haha. The final pose is only one of two shots!
The Accidental Mama
OMG! These are hilarious. The life of a blogger, hey?

We have to do the most difficult things 😉 Haha!
Ashley
Oh goodness I feel like all of my yoga moves would be yoga bloopers!
Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine
Haha, it's all about the progression!

LMFAO! I am one big blooper when it comes to YOGA and all things fitness, but I still do it... Because I mean, bloopers make working out fun, right?
Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine
Yes! And you have to have bloopers in yoga! It's all part of the process! Balancing the body is a difficult thing 😉
Renee @ Bendiful Blog
I love outtake photos mostly because the perfect poses we want to reflect on our blogs aren't always the most true images of the process. Some of my favorite photos of me are candids of out of focus workout shots. They are more real life a little grainy and not quite perfect but still interesting to look at.
Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine
It's just the imperfect beauty of it all!

Haha. I'll bet your neighbors would have a blast watching this!
Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine
No neighbors, only trees 😉
Emily @My Healthyish Life
This is a cute idea for a post! I have so many photos of me from my cross-country days making the ugliest faces. They ALWAYS give me a good laugh.
Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine
Yes! We need to laugh at ourselves sometimes! It makes you feel human, haha!
Ruthie@She'sWickedHealthy
You can't help but laugh at the silly situations we bloggers find ourselves in! Haha. A lot of bloopers are on the road to the final product! 😉
Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine
Haha and its all part of the fun 😉
