These easy Air Fryer Carrots are a healthy and delicious way to have a perfectly cooked veggie side dish on the table in minutes! Soft and tender inside with crisp golden brown outside, this simple recipe combines the carrot's natural sweetness with savory seasonings. They're customizable, naturally gluten-free, vegan, and kid-friendly!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Whole Raw Carrots

Seasonings:*

  • ½ Tsp Garlic Powder
  • ½ Tsp Onion Powder
  • ¼ Tsp Black Pepper
  • Salt
  • 2-3 Tsp Olive Oil

Instructions

  1. Rinse and trim the top and bottom of each carrot. Peel them or leave them unpeeled. Slice the carrots into 1/4-inch thick diagonal slices (straight across in coins is fine too).
  2. Add your chosen seasonings and olive oil to the bowl of carrot slices and toss to coat.
  3. Place the carrots in a single layer, so they aren't crowded together in your air fryer basket (you may need to do more batches depending on the size of your air fryer).
  4. Set the air fryer to 400°F and cook the carrots for 8 minutes before shaking the basket and cooking for an additional 5-8 minutes depending on how crispy and browned you want them.

Notes

Seasonings: These are suggestions. You can use any seasonings you'd like, in the amounts you'd like. Adjust everything to taste and see blog post for additional ideas.

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container or bag in the fridge for about 7 days.

Freeze in a Ziplock freezer bag for 6 months.

Reheat from the fridge by tossing your sprouts back into the air fryer at 375°F for about 4-5 minutes. From the freezer, you can add them frozen to the air fryer and fry at 375°F for 7-8 minutes, toss and shake halfway through.
