Air Fryer Okra is the easiest and tastiest way to enjoy this healthy Southern veggie! Perfectly crispy air-fried okra made without oil, naturally gluten-free, keto, vegan, and paleo! With your choice of seasonings, these crunchy okra fries are a delicious side dish or low-carb snack! Quick and easy, without the slimy texture, everyone will love this "fried" vegetable recipe!


  • 1 LB Fresh Whole Okra


  • 1/4 Tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 Tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/4 Smoked Paprika
  • 1/4 Tsp Black Pepper
  • Salt


  1. Rinse and dry the whole okra before slicing each pod lengthwise in half.
  2. Toss the sliced okra with your choice of seasonings.
  3. Add the seasoned okra to your air fryer basket in a single layer, careful not to overcrowd the basket too much (multiple batches may be required depending on the size of your air fryer).
  4. Air fry the okra at 400°F for 10 minutes, before giving the basket a shake and air frying the okra again for 8-10 minutes, until you reach your desired crispiness.


Seasonings: These are suggestions. You can use any seasonings you'd like, in the amounts you'd like. Adjust everything to taste.

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container or bag in the fridge for about 7 days.

Freeze in a Ziplock freezer bag for 6-8 months.

Reheat from the fridge by tossing your okra back into the air fryer and fry at 375°F for about 4-5 minutes. From the freezer, you can add them frozen to the air fryer and fry at 375°F for 7-8 minutes, toss halfway through if they were frozen together.
