A few simple swaps and you'll be on your way to not only "less boring" chicken salad, but gluten-free, paleo, allergy-free, and so easy you'll think you missed a step! So what are the ingredients in this super easy tahini chicken salad? Let's start with the chicken. Tyson® Grilled & Ready® Fully Cooked Oven Roasted Diced Chicken Breast which simplifies any recipe. It's made with 100% natural white meat chicken, no antibiotics ever, and can be found right in the freezer section of your local Walmart! To keep this allergy-friendly chicken salad egg-free, we're ditching the mayo for delicious tahini, one of my favorite substitutes for mayo! Next just add in a whole dose of fresh crunchy veggies like celery, carrots, onion, parsley, and to add a sweet pop to balance the nutty tahini, some raisins will do the trick! Add some lemon juice, garlic, black pepper, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds for good measure!
How do you make tahini chicken salad?
Since your chicken is already fully cooked, just defrost according to package directions and add it to a big mixing bowl. Then chop up all your veggies, add those to the bowl (with the raisins), and then add in the tahini and extra spices! That's it! Chicken salad is something that tastes even better with time, which is why it's a perfect dish to meal prep! Ingredients
- 22 oz Diced Cooked Chicken
- 1 Cup Chopped Carrots
- 1 Cup Chopped Celery
- ½ Cup Diced Onion
- ½ Cup Unsweetened Raisins
- ¼ Cup Chopped Fresh Parsley
- 1 TB Sesame Seeds
- 1 Tsp Minced Garlic
- ½ Tsp Black Pepper
- ⅔ Cup Tahini
- 2 TB Fresh Lemon Juice
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken according to package directions and add it to a large mixing bowl.
- Add your chopped veggies, raisins, and spices to the chicken and mix together.
- Now add the tahini and lemon juice. Mix well to fully combine and coat.
- Store in the fridge and serve chilled.
