What a week. It always feels "weird" to post when a horrific event occurs. As I was watching the news coverage at 3:30am EST on Monday morning, having a happy little recipe post go live in a few hours felt so wrong. It's one of those dilemmas content creators, influencers, media always face. I don't talk about much news here on the blog (except celiac, allergy, food news). I guess this space can hopefully be, like most blogs, a reprieve from the stresses of the real world. I think that's why people read blogs (or look at recipes). It's an escape, a form of self-care, I think. Everyone has their "go-to" blogs and websites and hopefully our content can bring a smile or breath of fresh air when you need it.
Cheers, love, hugs, and strength this weekend <3

For me reading blogs are a time to focus on something that I enjoy or want to more learn about. I do like when bloggers pass along information that can help the situation (i.e., fundraisers to help with the recent tragedies.)

I think there can always be a time, place, moment to give things a mention.

I very rarely talk about the news on my blog either--it's sad that there's so many terrible things happening lately. :[ I'm gonna have to check out that clean homes/habits one--my apartment is such a mess lately! :[

I'll come over and clean! (I love cleaning other peoples places...not always my own! Haha!)

For me I go to read blogs for time out from the media whether its the circus we see these days or horrific events such as you mentioned. As a blogger I do wonder if some times I should add my thoughts on these things but if I do it's just in passing. I'm like really impressed with your weekly post, you get things done!
Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine
Thanks, Pamela!
