We are in the midst of summer! Are you loving it? You know I am; this is the season I thrive in! I really just want to soak up every second of the sun and heat as much as I can! You won't hear me complaining about the heat! Since I wish for this weather all year, I embrace it full on!

I've mentioned it before, but not only do I love to eat, I LOVE to drink! I guzzle water, tea, and coffee all day long. I was actually struggling to drink just plain water during the winter this year. Not sure why, as even in the cold weather I still love to stay hydrated. I always found myself reaching for mugs of hot tea (semi water...just infused!). It just had to be something hot, but now? It has to be something cold!

From my morning coffee, when I can, it's iced. To putting a tea bag in my large water bottle and leaving it in the fridge to "brew". Of course, just simple water as well. What I'm totally loving most of all though, is the cold brewed tea! It couldn't be any easier! Just take your tea bag, stick it in your water bottle, leave it in the fridge (or on the counter) for a little while and enjoy! Why waste $4 on an unsweetened trenta iced passion tea at Starbucks when I can just make my own?

I know some people struggle with their water intake. My mom, she does big time. But, where there are more "welcoming" options to enjoy, drinking plain water seems less like a chore. So why not take my cold brew tea idea and amp up the water you use as well? Let's say, with some coconut water! ZICO's Natural Coconut Water is pretty much perfect for summer "cold brewing". It's 100% pure coconut water, with no added sugar, that's naturally hydrating with 5 electrolytes and as much potassium as a banana!

Now take the benefits of coconut water and amp it up even further! Infuse it with some green tea, fresh mint, and ice...always ice! Just blend it all up in your blender and you have one delicious, hydrating, allergy-free, kid-friendly mocktail to sip poolside (or...just outside) πŸ˜‰ Drinking coconut water will make you feel a little more tropical too, as we know. So even if you aren't on a tropical vacation this summer, you struggle with hydrating, and you need a nice cold refreshment...Grab a bottle of ZICO and some tea and get brewing!

So delicious and refreshing! You can guarantee that right now during the summer, I have a bottle some something cold brewing at all times in the fridge! It's just such an easy way to stay hydrated with something a little more fun than just plain water!

So tell me:

+ Are you all about iced drinks right now?

What a pretty looking drink. I am not a fan of coconut water (on it's own) so perhaps this would make it taste much better. I'm sure the addition of refreshing mint really helps.

Perfect tostones require the unripe green plantains (got mine from @theboysfarmersmarket), they're super cheap (like 20-30Β’), peel, slice, soak them in some water, lime juice, and salt, use your @gowiseusa air fryer to give them the first "fry", then get out your frustrations by smashing them into flat discs with a tostonera or a heavy mug, toss them back in the air fryer to finish getting golden and crispy! Serve with an extra pinch of flaky salt and salsa dips of choice! πŸ‘Œ
