Garlicky, buttery (dairy-free!), and delicious carbiness! No one turns down some garlic bread, do they? My mom always lamented the fact that she couldn't have any good garlic bread anymore (#celiacdisease). Last year (this recipe is from last year), I took her subtle request into my own hands and decided to recreate. Garlic gread has always been a family favorite. It's an Italian dinner bread basket essential, is it not?
Whenever my family order pizza from our local pizza parlors, sometimes we'd splurge and order those delicious soft, buttery, glistening, garlic knots. I can smell them now. Such a weird pairing of Italian food. Pizza and more bread, or pasta and more bread...carbs x10, guys! Also a massive gluten-fest. But it's okay, my celiac souls! There is ALWAYS a way around the enemy!
I didn't make garlic knots, nor a garlic baguette. But SOURDOUGH garlic "buns". I used some BreadSRSLY gluten-free sourdough buns, cut in half, and slathered with the good stuff! Super herby and buttery with dairy-free MELT and a touch of my favorite olive oil. The slight "sour" taste of of the bun with the butter, garlic, and herbs is SO good! It's a beautiful taste sensation in the mouth! They're slightly toasted right in the oven so they have that perfect outer crisp crunch and soft inside.
Now, like I said, these garlic breads would be perfect for some pizza or pasta dinner, but with the holidays literally right around the corner, they would make for a perfect bread basket addition! They are so easy to make, just cut, brush, toast! My gluten-free friends, you are in for a treat! When a food smells SO good while it's cooking, you KNOW it's going to taste x10000 even more delicious! If you can't order some those sourdough buns in time, you can always just use the garlic butter mixture on any gluten-free bun or baguette! These English muffin buns or these rosemary buns would be perfect too!

Ingredients
- 2 BreadSRSLY Sourdough Sandwich Buns
- Garlic Mixture:
- 2 TB Original MELT Spread (melted)
- 2 Tsp Mediterranean Olive Oil
- 1 TB Dried Parsley
- 1 ½ Tsp Minced Garlic
- 1 Tsp Nutritional Yeast (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- In a small bowl, mix together the garlic mixture ingredients.
- Cut the sourdough buns in half and brush the garlic mixture on to the cut side. (Let it really soak in to those nooks and crannies!)
- Place the buns on a lined baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until just crispy!

SO good!!! A last minute appetizer or side dish to dinner that is so super easy and quick! The love for sourdough is one thing, make it into garlic bread? Come on! You KNOW this is going to be unimaginably delicious! Eat up my carb-loving friends! You'll impress your non-gluten-free guests as well, trust me!
