My friends! It's 2017! We have all been freshly given the opportunity to embark on a perfectly untouched new year! Even if we say we don't do goals or resolutions, I know it's hard to actually 100% banish that mindset when we're bombarded with NEW YEAR, NEW YOU! I never say I "make goals or resolutions", but I always think of things I want to have happen or hopefully do.

I mean, come on now, everyone does it! Even if someone says they are "anti-goal", you know there are still little hopes and dreams floating around in their heads! We aren't immune, I know I'm not immune! But that's okay! We don't have to go around declaring these big lofty goals to the world. We can still make subtle small tweaks and changes as the new year begins, that only we know and keep to ourselves. And I know. "You don't have to wait for the new calendarΒ year to start (or stop) a new habit or form a new goal. You can do it right now, this minute!" But come on...it's way more fun and motivating to make a change starting January 1st!

So, I know your dirty little secret. I know you've made a goal, wish, hope, resolution. I know πŸ˜‰ I feel like there are 2 camps to this debate. The "YES GOALS AND RESOLUTIONS" camp and the "STOP THE SILLY MADNESS AND INEVITABLE FAILURE!" camp. But I'm here to tell you that it's okay! Goals and resolutions in the new year are fun! We've commercialized every "holiday" and the new year has not been untouched by the glamor of goal-setting. It's fun, so this year I'm telling you to keep those goals and resolutions, secret or shouted to the world! You go get it! And now, to get you started on a great new year, let's say cheers to this healing tahini hot chocolate that's loaded with turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, tahini, cocoa, and love! Gluten-free, vegan, paleo, keto, "Whole 30 approved" (if that's one of your goals!), and allergy-friendly. A perfect cozy mug full of hope and love!

Another thing I want to add. I'm not going to go out of my way to flow with the trend of "POST ALL THE ULTRA-HEALTHY RECIPES JANUARY". I'm not a big one resolutions at the beginning of the year, but I do try to make small changes/goals when needed. Tahini isn't something I would have ever thought to add into cocoa. Can you taste the sesame flavor?

LOL! I totally agree with you! I'm middle of the road, too. I like having goals... but I try to make mine realistic ones, so I don't automatically set myself up to fail. This year I'm really focusing on getting in shape. I started running in August, then Beach Body on Demand right before Christmas. My plan (and hope) is to continue to work out regularly... maybe by summertime I'll actually be a little bit more toned! This is the first time I've every worked out for this amount of time (due to health issues, I've always struggled).

And tahini in chocolate for a healthy boost! HECK YES!!

I honestly probably would have never thought of this combo - but I love it! Tahini is one of my favorite condiments, and you pretty much can't go wrong combining something with chocolate. πŸ˜‰ Great recipe! I can't wait to try it. πŸ™‚
