This weekend was kinda, eh. I spent a lot of time just trying to get some work done. Essays do not write themselves (nor do blog posts!) I also had a bunch of emails to write out. I eventually got a good chunk of things done (including that big 7-10 page essay!), but I still feel unsettled. My new favorite place to write though, is down in the dining hall of my dorm. No one is usually there, so I sit in this back part, with some coffee, on a nice cozy bench, type type typing away! The thing though, when you drink all that coffee, you tend to have to pee. I can't just leave my laptop and belonging though, so I have to pack everything up walk down the hall to the bathroom, and yea, you get the picture. Woh is life! Another #firstworldproblem is the fact that NO DC grocery store is good about stocking non-dairy milks. Whole Foods refuses to carry Silk almond milk (I don't know why...they carry their creamers. So I like to get Good Karma Flax milk there that I found. But no. The last few weeks they haven't had that either. Then there is Safeway. I have learned to never go on Saturday for milk. They are always cleaned out of every non-dairy milk. So Sunday, finally I ran down to Safeway (in the warmth! It was so bright and sunny yesterday), and finally was able to stock up on multiple cartons of Silk. Now I'll be good for a few weeks! Thank you non-dairy late expiration dates! (i.e. December 31st!).
Now, awkward segway...
If you've been following along in the blog world these last few weeks, you'll have noticed this survey/questions popping up. 😀 I plan never to renew my passport - there is a thing as "too much"! Also, the Walking Dead is an absolute secret indulgence - one of the better apocalyptic series.
I need to try balsamic and nutritional yeast - I added soy sauce and nut yeast for my sushi cinnamon rolls and was swooning with pleasure.
Linda @ Veganosity
I have such fond memories of Myrtle Beach, SC!! My mom is from Virginia and we spent several weeks every in MB every summer. I haven't been there in forever, now I feel like I need to take a long weekend trip. 🙂
Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine
The beaches there are just so fabulous! The water is so so warm compared to NJ beaches, haha!

Thanks for tagging me! I'll get right to work on answering the questions 🙂 I am so excited to go home over winter break and cook a ton of recipes too! Even though I have a kitchen in my apartment it is so difficult finding time to cook up new recipes.
Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine
Haha, I am going to be gating off the kitchen as Do Not Enter! I am going to ho on a major cooking spree!
Elsie @ Sharing Healthiness
I loved this post!
Four things I am saying:

4. Why do school papers get longer and longer?
😉
Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine
Haha! I never ever have said I love the cold!
The older you get, the longer the papers 😉
Heather @ FITaspire
I watched Frozen twice this weekend, which brings my total up to 3 - almost 4! I think it's only Pretty Woman I've actually seen 4 times. 🙂
Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine
Lobe Pretty Woman! But I still have not seen Frozen yet!
Shashi @ runninsrilankan
I am a huge fan of Christmas eve too 🙂
And I don't belive the Whole Foods in DC doesn't stock Silk Almond milk??? whaaaattt?????
Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine
I asked and they said it didn't align with values....yet they have silk creamer, holiday nog, and single serve packs!?!?
Esther Renée
This sounds like so much fun! I may have to steal this for my blog.
I'm a Jersey girl too, and spent all my childhood summers in Wildwood. Love those beaches!
Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine
Go ahead! The more the merrier!
Wildwood is simply the best!

alyssa
Oh this was awesome and looked like fun! <3
Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine
Haha, they are always fun posts to quickly write up!
Bri
Love the answers to your questions. I had a friend tag me in this survey over the weekend too, so I am working on my answers.
Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine
These surveys are always fun!
Emily @My Healthyish Life
Ooooh I can't wait to fill this out! And I completely understand what you mean about having to pack up your stuff every time you have to go to the bathroom. It's such a small thing but it ends up being a hassle!
Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine
Haha, I know right! If only people were honest and trustworthy 😉
Natalie
Well I learned a bit about you! Cold cashews(??)...that's a new one. And now I have some work to do 🙂
Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine
I hate warm "room temp" cashews! Ugh! They have to be cold, hahaha! Then they just simply taste like candy 😉
Michele @ paleorunningmomma
Thanks for thinking of me!!! I always find myself saying "this internet connection sucks" so that was funny! I'm also constantly saying "clean up this mess" and "wait 5 minutes" to my kids, among other typical mom-isms 🙂
Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine
It's the crappy "GWireless" we have on campus. IT is so bad and takes 6789687 years for one page to load!
Haha! I say "clean up this mess" a lot...in my head....to all these dirty college kids I love with!
Carla
(((writes down your book recommendations)))
Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine
Their good ones 😉
