Loving Lately: All Things Delicious

Published: Jun 17, 2014 · Modified: Dec 22, 2014 by Rebecca Pytell · This post may contain affiliate links.

Why not an update on some of the amazing things I am loving lately. Specifically food (plus one or two other things!) You all know how I hate my grocery store, but sometimes they pull through and I find a new fun product to try. I am always on the look out for gluten-free allergy-friendly products and companies. I have a huge folder of such things book-marked on my computer, but most of these things I have never actually seen in stores. When I do, I jump for joy! Introducing what I like to call, the "Healthy SunChip!" Formally called Simply 7's Quinoa Chips. And more specifically, the Slow Smoked Barbeque ones!Simply 7Simply 7 Quinoa Chips8g of protein per serving, gluten-free, non-gmo, vegan, and damn delicious! I love BBQ flavored things so when you pair that with quinoa, well, you have a winner. They are so light and airy too. You can definitely taste that it is made of quinoa! But really, these reminded me of the SunChips I used to eat before I was gluten-free. But these are 1000x better and healthier. I can't wait to try the other vegan flavor which is just sea salt. They have two more flavors, cheddar, and sour cream and onion, but they aren't vegan.

Hope Hummus Lentil DipCan we just take a moment and give a round of applause to my grocery for this one! Now, I was stunned when I found out they carried Hope Hummus, but when I saw these gems the other week, I about died right there on the spot. Basically this is lentil hummus. The little brother of chickpea hummus. It has a much deeper flavor "lentil-ly" if you will. It is so satisfying though and I am in love with using it in place of hummus right now on my sandwiches and veggies.

Roasted Sunflower SeedsI used to eat raw unsalted sunflower seeds everyday. This was before I was brave and added in every nut and seed out there to my diet. But I still love sunflower seeds and just haven't had them in a while. I forgot about them I guess. So I went to the bulk bins the other week and bought some. Later when I put there on a salad, I realized something was up. These were no raw. They were unsalted, but not raw. They were roasted! But my o my. I missed out big time eating them only raw. These babies roasted and so fabulous! I am no longer forget about these and have been using them again...everyday. I also have a fun recipe up my sleeve to share that utilizes sunflower seeds and sunflower butter 😉

BlueberriesSummer and fruit are basically one of the most heavenly combos. Specifically berries. More specifically blueberries! There is nothing better than fresh sweet summer blueberries. Screw the frozen ones I have to resort to during the remainder of the year. These little blops of blue love are bringing joy to my mornings everyday!

POPSUGAR June Must Have Box

I got my first POPSUGAR Must Have Box to try out! I am a POPSUGAR Select Blogger and they sent me this for free. It is the June box and I was so stoked when it finally go here. I got a $15 Native Union Gift Card, fancy bbq potato chips which I gave to my brother, this crazy awesome Sachajuan lotion which I am obsessed with! It smells so good. Emily Griffin's new book The One & Only, lemon wet wipes, cute hair ties, and a turkish-t towel! I'd say this was a pretty good box! It is a monthly subscription box full of hand-selected full-size items in beauty, fashion, home, fitness, and food. You can use a special code for $10 off your first 3 month subscription form now until June 30th. The code is: JUNESELECT10.

Want another fun tid-bit? Have you ever heard of the Color Me Rad 5k? Well it is a "color run" in over 100 locations around the country. You wear some white clothes, "run" a really fun easy 5k with friends and come out as a ball of color and fun! Easy 5k you say? If you use the code "RADFIT" by July 1st on your registration you will get 15% off! Right now I am waiting for a new DC run to open up, but for now...I am out of luck. But you might not be!

Color Me Rad 5k

One last thing before I wrap this up. The winner of the Skoop Giveaway! Go check out the post to see if you won! If so, email me at strengthandsunshine(at)gmail(dot)com with you shipping info! You have until Thursday night to respond, otherwise I will have to pick a new winner :/

Have a great day y'all!

So tell me:

+ Do you subscribe to any monthly boxes? If so, which ones? Right now I have only ever tried this one and Bulu Box. But these subscriptions boxes are really becoming all the rage! There is one for everything and anything!

**POPSUGAR provided me with a complimentary POPSUGAR Must Have box. The opinions I have shared about the box are my own and POPSUGAR did not tell me what to say or how to say it.**

I'm currently obsessed with all things chickpea related now that I can eat them again (woo!!).

I don't subscribe to any subscription boxes because I'm so picky with things haha

Chickpeas are always good and yay for being able to eat them!
Subscription boxes can be fun, but I don't think I would ever spend my own money on them haha!

I was surprised by how much quality stuff they give you! It is really a lot of money when you put all the products together, except you get it for a huge huge discounted price!

Love Simply 7, and yes, they taste just like Sun Chips!!! Have you joined their Snack Squad? I worked with them for a group review and they sent me tons of chips to try (not just the quinoa ones). They're a very generous company to work with. Oh, and your blueberries look delicious...and I don't even like blueberries. 🙂

I've only ever been strawberry picking once when I was really young! It seems fun though and I need to get to one of the many local farms around here!

Girl, our tastebuds should be roommates! I am addicted to sunflowers and sunflower butter (just bought 1 unroasted packet and 2 jars) and I've been overdosing on blueberries in my overnight quinoa flakes and pancakes! YUM! 🙂

Love those chips and dips. I'm gluten free and it can be hard to find things that taste good and are also healthy and not filled with other things that aren't good. Stopping in from Unite Link up.
