Happy Power Monday! How was you weekend? Mine got a little switched around and what I had planned on doing Saturday I had to do Sunday, but it all worked out. I was pretty tired Friday as I woke-up at like 3:45! But I got through school, had an awesome dinner (plus a really sad plantain death. I was planning on using the plantain I bought the previous weekend, but it was still dark green and a week! So I cut it open anyway and it was all brown and gross. I was so sad and had to throw away the poor monster plantain. Thus I made sweet potato fries instead).
I then just chilled out and trucked through variations of these two awesome workouts. O and I had a surprise email when I got home that day! I was accepted as an IDEA Fitness Inspired Blog Ambassador! I applied a few weeks ago and and so excited and thankful to be a part of the community now!
Then Saturday since I ended up having time, I was going to make my Pumpkin Pancake recipe into a Pumpkin Waffle recipe. I found the old waffle iron the night before and cleaned it out, but then when I woke-up I was hungry and to scared to have to deal with a major kitchen fail so I just made the pancakes instead! (I did make a new protein frosting to top it with. I did ½ TB of Peanut Flour and ½ TB of Vanilla Plant Fusion plus tons of cinnamon!) Maybe next time?
I spent the rest of the day doing homework, blog work, cooking, grocery shopping, yoga, and relaxing. Another highlight from Saturday was when I opened my new jar of Cashew Butter...I am pretty sure I tasted Heaven. It was so light, sweet, and creamy. Time to add a new nut butter love to the top of my list! Now if only it wasn't so expensive...Then Sunday I did what I was supposed to do Saturday! I will be doing a post on it Thursday and it is going to be a good one you don't want to miss! And Sunday night I decided to skip watching the Walking Dead Season 4 premiere and go to sleep my normal time. I will just watch it either on the computer later this week or next Sunday when they replay it at 8pm. So for now I will always be a week behind, so keep the talking about it on the low! Anyway, today I get to go to Group Power and rock the new release, can't wait!
So I have a quick Power Monday post for you all today!
I love Tabata! It is such a quick effective way to get in some hard-core strength and cardio! You know I love fast paced and quick cardio so Tabata has always been one of my favorites. Tabata gives you the surge of energy you need to power through your day. It is circuits of 20sec. of hard exercise followed by 10sec. recovery. You then repeat the circuits for however long you want you workout to be. I made a 20 minute circuit for you all today and it is a killer! Have fun with it and take breaks between the sets if you need!
+ Form-Qs for unfamiliar moves: Squat Jacks, Air Jacks, V-Ups, Skater Jumps, Burpees, Jump Squats.
+ Have fun with it and if you need to take a 1 minute break between sets or do the push-ups on you knees, etc., go for it, do everything to the best of your ability!
So tell me:
Do you ever do Tabata circuits?
Ever use a waffle iron? Any tips? I just have this old iron with no directions. It has a power light and a ready light, but how do you know when the waffle is done?
Have a happy Power Monday (and Happy Columbus Day)! See you'll tomorrow!

Love this! I've done the 60 day insanity video program a few times and although great results, it is time-consuming. I've been looking for a shorter full body workout routine, and this looks great. Going to try it out 🙂 thanks for sharing
