Power Monday #57 Reebok ZQUICK + Reebok FitHub Union Square

I have to say, I hate shoes. I am not one of those girls (or guys) that has a closet full of 50 pairs of perfect shoes and is always on the look out for more to add to the collection. I would much rather add spices to my ever-growing spice cabinet...but that's besides the point. Maybe it's just because I really don't know what size I am, plus it seems like all shoes are so wide! I cannot buy a pair of boots because seriously, they make the calf shaft the size of a Roman column. Sorry, but my leg is human-sized. That's why I usually stick with sneakers. Most notably Reeboks. They are the most comfortable for my foot and can take me from everyday wear to workouts without having to change shoes.

Power Monday

So when I was offered to try out the new Reebok ZQUICKS, I was so excited! These are Reebok's brand new addition to their new ZSeries Running Collenction and I am totally in love with them.

These shoes were inspired by sports car tires and their "Z-rated" midsole geometry is designed to give you the best handling and traction when out on the roads. They are light and cushioned, but also durable for a "smooth ride". Your feet are the drivers and the shoes are the sleek sports car if you will 😉

I received the Electrify color option which is so perfect for me! My favorite colors: orange and yellow! Super sleek, fun, and powerful. But the thing I was most happy about was that they fit! Totally comfy, I was wearing them around the house all day when I first opened the box!  Running show? Psh! Everyday shoe for me 😉

These will be perfect though for my hopeful running adventures in DC this year. I think these would be perfect for city running and getting me out there for the first time. I can't wait to test them out in DC and maybe even do my first 5K in them 😉 We'll see!

I also have to mention Reebok's new FitHub in Union Square, NYC that just opened! I was asked to attend a free workout last Thursday, but something came up and I couldn't make it. You can say I was totally bummed about that. Hopefully one day I will be able to go check it out.

To celebrate their new opening, they are offering a month of free awesome workouts right at the store for anyone to attend. These classes included boot camps, Les Mills, yoga, running workouts, and more. All brought to you by celebrity trainers including Tara Stiles and Spartan Race founder Joe De Sena! And don't fret if you missed these events! Reebok offers free workout and fitness events all the time, not just for their new opening! And for anyone local to the NY/NJ area, there are 4 other FitHubs besides Union Square. These include Westchester, Garden State, Upper East, and their 5th Avenue location. (I'm also pretty stoked to learn that there is a FitHub in Georgetown! You know I'll be hitting that up when I get down to school!)

One more thing I should mention about the new FitHub is their partnership with Local Ink. You can now customize anything you purchase in the store, right on site! Want a logo on your shirt? They can do that with their silkscreens prints that they can put on the items and then use a machine that will dry them instantly. I know I want to check that out!

So tell me:

+ What's your favorite brand for fitness/workout shoes? Reebok for sure!

+ Do you have an easy time when it comes to finding shoes that fit?

Ooh, those shoes are cute! I'm a Skechers girl personally because I always have trouble finding shoes that are comfortable with my dead flat feet!

Those looks so bright and comfy! I'm just never sure about cushion-y running shoes because I run up to 40 miles per week and I'm not sure if they wear out. Would you recommend them for distance runners?

I'm not a shoe person either, BUT if I had to choose shopping for shoes (think running, hiking, Teva sandals) over clothes then shoes would win! HA.

"they make the calf shaft the size of a Roman column. Sorry, but my leg is human-sized. That’s why I usually stick with sneakers. Most notably Reeboks."
I CAN'T BUY BOOTS/HIGHER UP SHOES BECAUSE MY CALVES ARE TOO BIG. Insert laughing with tears emoji

Anyway - so cool you got to test out shoes, I'm super jealous! AND I love my Nike Dual Fusions, I opt for non running shoes, cause I do a lot of jumping around, etc. and need support and cushion as well as ankle stability, but these look super cute!
AND I HATE SHOE SHOPPING, cause nothing ever "feels" right on my foot. Seriously, I usually become so frustrated I end up with nothing!

Hahaha! Boots just don't work for me (or my mom, we have the same narrow feet/legs). But I love my calf muscles (I have a special workout day for them! So I don't know but my calves are just special!)

These are my first "running" shoes, I usually just get training. But I need running shoes so, yay! But yea, shoe shopping is the worst...that's why I don't do it...ever!
