It doesn’t matter what anyone says now in the decades of scrutinizing food, parenting, and lifestyle. Halloween is a tradition where sweet treats are involved and nothing should change that. Not even food allergies. If you want some candy, something sweet, you should be able to enjoy that tradition and choice. I learned about my food allergies and Celiac Disease at a later age so my trick-or-treating days were almost over anyway. But if I had them when I was in the height of my dressing up, going door-to-door, and filling my huge pillowcase with candy days, I would have felt extremely left out and angry.
