This is one of 5 granola recipes I have in my “to-post” folder. It was the last granola I made before I had to leave the nest. I wanted to get pretty creative here and go out with a granola-bang. So what’s a flavor or granola you don’t see very often? Orange. That’s right. Oranges themselves are pretty awesome. Sweet, tangy, juicy. I like them, but they don’t necessarily do much for my reflux. However, in granola you don’t get the full acid effect. Just the taste, so I’ll take it!
Now, besides the orange, I used the ever-forgotten hemp seed! I always have a bag in the fridge, but always forget they’re there! Then I use them and remember how lovely they taste and how much nutrition they pack! Per serving (30g) you get 10g protein, 10g omega 3 & 6, 13g healthy fats, all for 170 calories! A little seed plant-based powder house! The great forgotten complete vegan protein source in my option. Hemp also makes a lovely protein powder which I always have on hand!
