Hey everyone! I hope you had a great 4th! I didn’t do anything special to celebrate. My day consisted of parallel parking practice; quick Pilates leg work/ calves/ and pushups and a 20 minute HIIT session with a 10 minute cool down on the bike; a delicious dinner of quinoa and flounder with tons of turmeric, cumin, and paprika. Then I watched a movie, The House at the End of the Street, with my mom. It was a pretty relaxed day….just like mostly all my days this summer have been. But that’s getting a tad boring.
However I am so grateful for being able to go on my trip to DC last week. I can’t stop thinking about it now! I absolutely love that city and can not wait to go back, I miss it so much! So today I will sadly recap my final day in DC. I wish I could have stayed longer, there is so much I still need to do and see down there!
We woke up early on Saturday to we could pack up all our things and get them down to the car before we would head out to Georgetown again. This time we would be trekking up to the campus though and I was so excited. After packing we ran down to Starbucks for my mom’s coffee and my newspapers (The NY Times and WSJ). Then I took messy pictures of the room (I always forget to take them when we first get there so the beds are made and everything is new and clean!).
Good-bye Room!
We were able to leave our car in the parking deck until we got back from Georgetown later that afternoon which was really cool. I can not say enough good things about our hotel (The Washington Marriot) or the staff. I really do recommend staying there. Everyone was so friendly, helpful, and quick with our requests and numerous questions. I give them 5 stars no doubt!Read More
