The easiest Vegan Mashed Sweet Potatoes recipe is also the best! Just 3 ingredients for these healthy, creamy, dairy-free mashed sweet potatoes! Gluten-free, paleo, and allergy-free, you can make this side dish savory or sweet! Kid-friendly and perfect for a simple weeknight meal or a holiday dinner!




  1. Peel and chop the sweet potatoes into evenly sized chunks.
  2. In a large pot, cover the sweet potatoes in water, bring to a boil, and simmer over medium-low heat for about 15-20 minutes until the potatoes are soft and tender.
  3. Drain the potatoes and add them back to the same pot.
  4. Using a potato masher or mixer, break up the potatoes a bit before adding in the milk, butter, and seasonings. Continue mashing the potatoes until you reach your desired creamy consistency.
  5. Serve hot. Cool completely before storing.
