Funfetti Thumbprint Cookies

All of the cake qualities of Funfetti in cookie form! Gluten-free and vegan Funfetti Thumbprint Cookies, soft, sweet, & tender with a “cream cheese” center to mimic frosting! The iconic celebratory dessert for any occasion!




  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine all cookie ingredients and mix to form a well combined batter.
  3. On a Silpat or parchment paper lined baking sheet, form 14 (2 tablespoons each) balls with your hands and place on the baking sheet, flattening them a bit.
  4. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes.
  5. Remove the baked cookies after 15 minutes, using your thumb, make an indent in the center of each. Then place back in the oven for about 5 more minutes, remove and let cool.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the cream cheese ingredients (not the spinkelz), until you get a soft frosting texture.
  7. Fill the centers of the cookies with 1 teaspoon each of the cream cheese frosting and then sprinkle the center with additional sprinkelz.
