A healthy Oreo copycat recipe, anyone? Homemade Gluten-Free + Vegan Oreo Cookies that are top 8 allergy-free, sugar-free, and just like the classic crunchy chocolate and cream sandwich cookies you loved! A fun and easy dessert or snack you can feel good about serving up!




  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, sift the flour and cocoa powder together.
  3. Then add the sweetener, softened butter, and vanilla. Mix well to form a soft cookie dough.
  4. Roll the cookie dough out on parchment paper or a Silpat to about 1/4 inch thickness.
  5. Use a 2-inch round cookie cutter to cut out 20 cookies (re-roll dough as needed).
  6. Transfer the parchment or Silpat to a baking sheet and bake the cut-out cookies in the oven for 12-15 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven and allow them to cool completely before making the sandwiches.
  8. Once the cookies have cooled, use a pastry bag or cream injector to squeeze about 1 1/2 teaspoons of prepared buttercream on the bottom side of one cookie. Take another cookie and press the bottom gently on to the exposed cream to form an Oreo sandwich.
  9. Repeat for the rest of the cookies to make a total of 10 Oreos.
