Friday Finisher 7/26/13

Published: Jul 26, 2013 · Modified: Jan 13, 2020 by Rebecca Pytell · This post may contain affiliate links.

Happy Friday! How did your week go? Mine went by so fast, with lots of highs and lows. I am definitely ready for the weekend! Day 3 of my internship went pretty well yesterday. Still not much to do since the legislature isn't in session right now. It might pick up when they go back in August but we will see. I did, however, get to write my first "thank-you" letter to some kids who did a good deed in their community. The assemblyman sends out various thanks-you's and congrats letter to outstanding citizens and the like. Then I got to edit a response letter to someone who supported one of the bills that the assemblyman had not voted for. I learned some new things on how to do these letters with templates, addresses, and printing; so all in all it was a better day. Then the three of us who were in the office got to talking about college and grad school. I am struggling on my college application essays and they are struggling on their grad school essays. O the joys of school and fighting for the education you want. Now on to the Finisher!

SS Posts from the week:

Monday: Power Monday #3 Isometrics

Tuesday: Indian Spiced Chickpeas and Veggies

Wednesday: Currently...

Thursday: A Really Awesome Dinner

Blog Posts I loved this week:

This must have been such a fun experience. I am definitely putting Acro Yoga on my bucket list!

+ Looking "Fit" Doesn't Necessarily Mean Being Healthy

In the words of a figure competitor: is it all worth it if you feel like crap?

+ Do These Labels Make My Butt Look Big?

Some humor, but so true, in how it is trying to live up to labels and expectations in the healthy living community.

+ How to Release the Grip on Your Comfort Zone

"[D]iscomfort leads to complete comfort. When you develop the confidence to leave your comfort zone, you open doors that you never knew existed."

Instagram and social media does NOT portray everything and every truth about ones life.

+ What Beauty Is To Me

How do you define beauty?

+ Why I think Fitspiration is toxic

+ Pinterest is Not a Source

Do you give credit where credit is due on Pinterest? I am definitely guilty of this.

A few things I loved about my week or am grateful for:

+ Only having to go about a day without water...it could have been worse!

+ Going on an after dinner walk with my mom on Tuesday night.

+ 47 days (and going strong) of being (eyebrow and eyelash) trich free

+ My stomach is finally starting to feel better!

Here's to a great weekend! Be safe, have fun, and enjoy the sun!

What was your favorite blog post this week?

Do you make your protein shakes/smoothies with banana? sweet potato?

Are you in the process of college/grad school essays? If not do you remember how "fun" they were?
