Friday Finisher 3/25/16

Published: Mar 25, 2016 · Modified: Oct 31, 2019 by Rebecca Pytell · This post may contain affiliate links.

I'm just going to skip talking about the weather this week. There's no change in the confusion! However, I have a new obsession. It's one that even shocks me. MUSIC! I always say how I don't like listening to music. I haven't turned my i-pod on in like 5 years, nor do I even know where it is at the moment. I have i-Tunes gift cards that are unspent from 2010. I only ever listen to music when I'm cooking or in the car (NEVER while working out!). But, I recently became obsessed with watching YouTube music videos on my phone before bad. I'm listening to old favorites of mine like Breaking Benjamin, Avenged Seven Fold, Bullet For My Valentine, Seether, Three Days Grace, etc. Now, I'm not sure this type of angry rock music is emitting good sleep vibes, but I haven't had a problem 😉

I've missed that music so much! And the videos I haven't seen in so many years! Great reminiscing and I totally suggest watching your old music favorites! It's rather comforting. I also have an extremely embarrassing obsession with this song. No judgement....We won't even talk about it further.

Diverting your attention, come check out this week's Finisher and maybe jam out to some good tunes while your browsing! Have a fantastic weekend and Easter Sunday if you celebrate!

A few things I loved about my week or am grateful for:

+ Here's a thing I did NOT love. If you follow me on Instagram (you should!), I shared yesterday how I was testing for fecal coliform and E.coli in the biology lab. So the first test with the first tube (the only one that indicated the bacteria!) spilled on my hand and the table (we were not wearing gloves). The smell...omg! I drenched my hand (and the table) in Purel, Windex, alcohol, soap and water and that smell still came home with me! It may have just been my imagination at that point, but right int he shower I went! #weargloves

+ On a brighter note, I was able to grill outside this week! But not sure how long that glory will last...

So tell me:

+ Current favorite song?

+ Are you celebrating this weekend? I am not, but I would love to hear!

I love music and listen to it many hours a day (I always have the radio on at work and I listen to music at home when I'm working on the blog) but lately I've been rediscovering songs I liked when from when I was 16-20 years old. It's embarrassing, but it feels good 🙂 ah.. nostalgia. My current favorite song is "Broadripple is Burning" by "Margot & The Nuclear So And So's" - sad but I love it.
I haven't been really "celebrating" but I made tons of vegan Easter treats and visited my parents yesterday, exchanged a few little presents - well.. I guess you could call it celebrate 😀
So sorry to hear about your tube spilling - it sounds terrible :/

I'm glad you've rediscovered that part of your life 🙂 The one video you linked to, never heard it before, but it sounds SO much like Taylor Swift it's crazy 😮 Mango meat is pretty darn genius, following in jackfruits footsteps I think. And strawberry sushi! You know I love that <3 As for those 5 blogging trends, number 5 makes me really sad 🙁 I don't want to pay FB! Ugh...I'm kinda hoping it's not true but I think it probably is.
