Power Monday #7 Sleek and Strong Arms

Published: Aug 19, 2013 · Modified: Jul 23, 2017 by Rebecca Pytell · This post may contain affiliate links.

Hey guys! How was your weekend? Mine was alright. Did you notice the new header on the blog? Do you like it? Let me know in the comments! I made it yesterday on PicMonkey with some help from Karlie's tutorial. It was actually super easy! O how I love free photo editors. My favorites are PicMonkey (for graphics, workouts, and now headers) and iPiccy (for actually editing and retouching). No need for fancy expensive Photoshop or Lightroom. These websites have it all...at least for my needs at the moment! 😉 I also finally got up the courage to publish my blog's Facebook page. My family has not seen my blog yet, nor anyone I personally know (at least no one has said anything). I was worried all my personal friends and family on Facebook would now be able to find my blog when I did. But I think it's time I started letting them read. We will see what happens. 😉

So I am a little bummed out guys. I had a really awesome Power Monday planned today but on Sunday when I was supposed to film a video for the post (procrastination), the weather just was not cooperating. Rainy, dark, cloudy skies...no good. So I will have to keep you in suspense until next week. But don't fear I have a great upper body workout for you today, that you will love...or hate to love!

Power Monday

I like making lower body and legs workouts so much more than upper body workouts. I think I just find upper body boring. I always have to make sure I hit each area (ie: biceps, chest, triceps, shoulders, and upper back) since I myself do not do individual muscles on individuals days (like biceps and triceps on Monday, chest and back Wednesday, etc.). So I usually always reference a Pinterest upper body workout and modify to what I want. But today I have one all my own. A fun supersetted workout that will leave your arms sleek and strong!

Sleek and Strong Arms

Notes:

+ Always use weights that challenge your body but that are also right for your body.

+ Moves that may be new: Bent Over Wide Rows and Vertical DB Front Raises (do normal front raises with your palms facing in toward each other, like the dumbbells are torches).

***-If you feel dizzy, sick, extremely tired STOP. Also take breaks when needed. Modify to fit you and your body’s needs and abilities!

Have a great Monday and make it Powerful! Let me know if you try the workout and if it left you feeling sleek and strong.

So tell me:

When did you tell your family and friends about your blog? Did you let them see it right away or did you keep it a secret? I wanted to get established a bit before anyone saw. I wanted them to see that this isn't some little hobby or idea, but a big part of my life. My Family still doesn't really understand what this whole healthy living/ fitness blogging community really is, but maybe they will start to learn...some day!

What is your favorite free photo editor? Do you like PicMonkey or iPiccy?

Arms are my favorite to work! Love supersetting too - great way to really feel the burn.

My friends and family are the ones who urged me to start a blog, so they knew from day 1. You should tell them! I bet they'd love to read. 🙂

They know about my blog, just haven't seen it. I am just scared to know what they think, haha! It's so funny how it's perfectly fine to have strangers read, but when it comes to your own family, it can be scary!
