Well I had a great post planned for today, but it will have to go up next week or maybe later today. I am really sad about it too! So I really have nothing planned for today otherwise, but I still want to get a post up! And this post is what I call Photo Thursday...or random photos that I have taken for my AP Photography class this year. Lets take a wordless look!
So as you can probably tell, my concentration is simplistic shots. I also threw in a few other ones not in my concentration. Like that self-portrait we had to do. Usually though I hand in my good recipe photos, but you guys have seen them already, haha!
So tell me:
What is your favorite thing to shot? I hate shooting people. I am not a portrait person. I like my objects and white backgrounds. That is where I work best!
Tell me something random about your week!

So creative! I like those photos of the knives and potatoes lined up in order by length! 🙂
I really need to take a photography class of some kind...I mean I have this dslr camera that I don't really know how to use...kind of a waste of its potential!! The good pictures I take are mostly by accident haha
Strength and Sunshine
Thanks Amanda! I am like you too! I really don't know how to properly use my fancy DSLR either! My photo class doesn't actually teach me how to shoot and when ever I try to read tips and learn on my own, it just never sticks and I still have no idea what I am doing!

I'm the opposite; I love taking photos of people, especially when I can capture a candid expression. Some of my best photos are of children I took in Afghanistan. I had a good camera then. Now I have my iPhone. 🙁
Elisebet
Hahah, I just re-read what I wrote in my first comment. I didn't take the children. I should've said, "Some of my best photos I took are of children in Afghanistan." Sounds better that way, doesn't it?
Strength and Sunshine
Haha, no worries I understood and didn't realize that until you said it 😉 I'm sure the photos are stunning! Seeing different cultures is always captivating!

I love catching scenery! Of my favorite places, places I’ve been, or just a great hidden site!
Strength and Sunshine
Yes! Like finding old abandoned buildings! They can be the most beautiful subjects!
Megan @ Meg Go Run
Very nice pics! We just got a new camera so our pictures are much clearer. I am not a photographer but when I do take pics, my cats are my favorite subject. 🙂
Strength and Sunshine
Animals are perfect and beautiful subjects! If they stay still, haha!
Kaila @healthyhelperblog!
Lovely lovely pictures!!! You're so talented!
Strength and Sunshine
Thank you Kaila 🙂 XOXO
Miss Polkadot
Great pictures!
Like you I'm not keen on portrait photography. Maybe because I have yet to figure out how to get them right. But I feel like objects, flowers and, yes, food, too, have a lot of appeal to them, too. Shot from different angles and in various light setting there's a great way of teasing out new points of view in everyday life objects. As you did here.
Strength and Sunshine
Exactly! I also just seem to never be inspired by anything...except food photos..they are fun! But I have a hard time coming up with ideas.
Strength and Sunshine
Thanks lovely 🙂
I am nowhere near good, but I try!
lovenataliemarie
Wow, you got some great shots here! I've always wanted to try photography, but them cameras are expensive! Maybe one day. 🙂
Strength and Sunshine
I got my DSLR a few years ago for my bday! But yes, they are extreamly expensive if you want a good one, but it is worth it!
Tina Muir
Whoa you too some great photos! I am with everyone else in loving the potato one, and the whisk! Something random? I am wearing a robe with my name on it 🙂
Strength and Sunshine
Thank you Tina!
Can I say I am do jealous! I wish I was wearing my robe sipping some hot tea. But instead I am sitting in my freezing car about to go in to school...ugh!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Love it, lady! I'm actually a huge fan of simplistic shots, and I'd have to say that the whisk and potato ones are my favourite 🙂 Also, I couldn't help but laugh at the kitchen scrubber, 'cause that's exactly what I used to wipe down my sink this morning 😆
Strength and Sunshine
Haha thanks Amanda 😉 Kitchen sponges are handy! Interesting to photograph and great for wipeing up messes!
Kristy @ Southern In-Law
I love portrait and food photography but hateeee product photography, even though that's what I do for work more often than not!
That self portrait has the perfect lighting!
Strength and Sunshine
I wish I liked portraits, but I just never have willing subjects, haha!
That photo was taken in a pretty much dark room with just an old stand bulb. (in the photo room at school!) We then had to make them black and white, and I was surprised by how nice it actually did come out, haha!
jessielovestorun
Maybe its because I eat sweet potatoes almost daily, but I love the potato photo the best. To answer your question, I hate taking pictures of eggs. They never look good LOL
Strength and Sunshine
Hahaha the potato photo is my favorite too! 🙂
Meat is also a really hard food to make look pretty. Sticking to veggies and fruits....and pancakes is the way to go, hahaha!
