Friday Finisher 10/24/14

Published: Oct 24, 2014 · Modified: Jan 3, 2020 by Rebecca Pytell · This post may contain affiliate links.

So it's Friday! Yay! So needed, I have been so tired this weekend. But I have to keep going through Saturday morning at least. I am attending a Her Campus Blogger Network regional meet-up (VA, MD, DC). Us blogger ambassador girls for the HCBN are getting together for a Pure Barre class in Arlington, VA. Saturday morning! I am so excited! I am meeting up with a fellow GWU blogger before hand so we can take the Metro together (thank god!). I've done Barre3 before, but never Pure Barre, so I am so excited! I'll recap it for you on Monday! O and Sunday is the Marine Corp. marathon here in DC! I may just have to go out and cheer on some fellow blogger friends. (But I might just end up sleeping all day, we'll see)!

Some more possible good news is that I am meeting with a career counselor this afternoon. Hopefully she can help me figure out my direction of study (or even what school I should be in!). I hope it helps, fingers crossed.

A few things I loved about my week or am grateful for:

+ AMC's FearFest! I have been turning it on at night and watching some (not really scary) movies. I can't wait for the 31st when they play the Halloween marathon!

+ I didn't realize it, but I one Lee's French's mustard giveaway and part of the giveaway prize was a massive portable gas grill. Well I told her to send the stuff to my dorm. When I see that I have a huge massive box waiting for me, I had no idea what it was. Until I open it to find...a grill. Omg. I would have had it sent to my house in NJ if I'd known! (Lee, why didn't you remind me!) So now there is a huge grill (still boxed) in the common room. Lovely. (Very cool, just not when it's in my dorm...).

+ The little things that make me smile: Taking the 7am Vex over to Foggy and chatting it up with my favorite driver, Mrs. James. She is awesome 😉 She thinks it's cool that I wake-up so early and fully embrace an 8am class. (8am is late to me!) Also the smell of Fall leaves. I smelled them the first time walking to my UW class Thursday morning. I usually don't really think about it, but maybe it reminds me of home? Third, I keep forgetting how good overnight oats are! My Dastony Hazelnut butter jar was almost empty so I made some OOIJ yesterday and it was so heavenly!

So tell me:

+ Have you been watching AMC's FearFest? What's your favorite scary movie?

+ Have you ever taken a Pure Barre class? How was it?

+ What are you plans for the weekend? (I really wish I could go apple picking...)

Have fun at the barre class!

I love the banana oat cookies you posted, they look like a grown up version of cookies. Like I could serve them with wine, and a cheese plate, and they'd look cool. Maybe. 🙂

It should be fun! The Barre3 class I took was was to "easy" for me, so I am hoping this variation is a bit more intense!
      Thanks Emily!

Ha! I'm very guilty of most of those words on the no-go list, especially nom. It's sort of like onomatopoeia for the sounds I make when eating something truly delicious. 😉

    Great list!
