Friday Finisher 5/5/17

Published: May 5, 2017 · Modified: Apr 3, 2019 by Rebecca Pytell · This post may contain affiliate links.

Next week can't get here quick enough. It's been over 2 months now of doctors, tests, hospitals, ERs, and now college finals...I'm exhausted. I can't wait to have the summer break to really recoup and regroup. Monday is my last final, but then I still have my health to deal with. So thanks again for baring with me. I'm trying to keep my presence and engagement up here and on social media, but there's no denying it is hard! xoxo

BTW: Happy Cinco de Mayo! Go grill up some Mexican Carrot Dogs and Hash Browns!

The Marie Clarie article about Women who regret having kids was very eye opening. I’ve had multiple women tell me not to get married to never change my name and to not have kids. I’m always surprised, I know I want kids, I’ve waiting until my mid-thirty to have them. Such an eye opening article Love your Friday's finishers. 🙂

Women Who Wish They’d Never Had Kids - I'm not surprised that women are regretting the motherhood thing. I think that for many years now, women have been having children because it's expected of them. Personally, I've always known it wasn't for me, and am lucky to have a partner who feels the same way.

Yea! It is definitely such a culturally ingrained thing, but it is not necessary (our population is too big anyway!).

Totally with you on the not having kids thing--I like having my own free time (or at least, I like to tell myself I'll have it someday) + would so rather spend that money on food/my family+friends/a house/travel. 😀

My kitchen love language is quality time! :]
