Lamenting the fact that it's August, but at least we still have one more solid month of summer. Crazy to be reading that in some places kids are already headed back to school! That is crazy!!! I don't start until sometime in September...Even in elementary and middle school, we never went back to school that early. So sad and such a waste of perfect summer days! Parents might like it, but I can tell you NO child wants to be stuck in a classroom when the sun is shining and the heat is begging you to jump in a pool and play in the ocean!
There's back to school stuff everywhere I look now. From the grocery store to Target...notebooks, pens, and pencils galore! Thankfully, in college, I only need some notebooks and a set of fresh new pens 😉
Happy first August Weekend, gluten-free friends!

I know, I feel so bad when I see kids are already starting school! It's too hot most places and just wrong! Ha
Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine
Crazy! It's gotten earlier in my area, but not THIS early! Haha! People in some regions are crazy!

It gets quite hot in July but to be honest the last few weeks are usually filled with sports events, school trips and outdoor class activities 🙂
In the UK the school year is divided into 6 week blocks - starting from September there's a week off in October; 2 weeks off end December (over Xmas & New Year; a week off in February; 2 weeks off in end March/April (usually coincides with Easter somewhere along the line); a week off end of May; then 6 weeks off from mid/end July. 🙂
Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine
Haha, I definitely would not enjoy that schedule!

My children finish school end of July & go back in September - I couldn't envisage going back to school in August, either. ?
Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine
End of July!? That's even crazier, hahaha!
