Gift Guide For The Guys

December 9, 2014 by Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine 74 Comments

Aren’t guys the hardest to shop for!? Girls are so easy, get them anything cute, pretty, clothes, make-up, scarves, etc. But when it comes to the brothers, dads, boyfriends, grandfathers, it gets hard. Guys are boring, girls are way more fun to shop and get gifts for! But don’t fret! I’ve put together a quick gift guide to give you some ideas for the men in your life! And if you still are stuck, just make them food. Really, everyone likes to get food as a present. So whip up some spiced nuts or granola and be done!

Gift Guide For The Guys | Strength and Sunshine @RebeccaGF666 #holidays #gifts #giftguide #men

These gift ideas are not only for the holiday season! They can be used all year and for any occasion. I tried to find affordable and more pricey items, as well as something for everyone.

However, the men in my life are going to be the lucky recipients of homemade gifts (as usual), made by the thrifty DIY-er I turn into during Christmas time 😉 They love because they never know what to expect 😉 My brother and I have this weird running joke about “rip-off” calendars (the daily kind). I think he got me one two years in a row, way back, and for some reason whenever we put our presents under the tree for each other, we always joke that what’s inside is a “rip-off” calendar. I have no idea why…it just stuck in our memories. My brother and I have some really weird things we remember and laugh about! (P.S. I love “rip-off” calendars and always get one every year! It’s the only type of calendar I use. I am religious about it!)

So tell me:

+ Do you find it hard to shop for guys?

+ Do you use “rip-off” calendars? Haha, the one year my brother got one, he made it to February and then never moved past that date 😛

I got my husband a foosball table for his birthday! He totally loved it. We don’t really have anywhere to put it. Right now it’s just sitting in the garage. Once we finish our office renovation. and move all of our office stuff back where it belongs, hopefully it will fit in the basement!

It is so hard to give a boy a gift. You can never guess what they want or what they really like. Unless girls, you can give them whatever you can find. I want to give my husband a gift but, I don’t have any idea. He is a wine lover and love to watch anime videos. Should I give him a wine? what if he won’t like it? I really feel frustrated.

I have a husband, three sons, and two grandsons to buy for and yes, they are a darn pain! I agree that food is always a good choice. Sometimes when I am at a complete loss, I’ll resort to T-bone steaks. I just make sure to not wrap them up and put them under the tree! #SITSSharefest

My problem isn’t that my boyfriend is all that hard to shop for, I’m just the only one with ideas! So I have to come up with something to give him myself, but then both sets of parents hound me for ideas too. My dad is very into WW2, so the worst case scenario for him is to buy the latest WW2 book, and he’s happy as a clam.

These are such fun ideas Rebecca! It can be so hard to find “fun” gifts for guys– they usually want things that are too expensive, and need things that make boring gifts, like clothes 🙂 I’m totally ordering those insulated mugs! Perfect for this tropical heat. Alex bought me double walled martini glasses a few years ago and we use them all the time.

I don’t even like basketball, but I love that bowl! <3 It's adorable!

I've had maybe 2 rip-off calendars in my life and…I never get past ripping through even January. (I also never want to throw away any of the ones I rip, which can be a problem too. D: ) I always liked the concept of em' though!
