Not to mention having it taste like deep, rich, chocolate decadence is also going to be required. Lucky for you, this chocolate smoothie is only masquerading as a decadent treat; it's made to be your new got-healthy go-to chocolate elixir!

Our first star in this gut-healthy chocolate smoothie (also acting as out natural source of sweetness) is Mariani's Probiotic Pitted Prunes which as made with California grown prunes, but contain Ganeden BC30 probiotic, which is designed by nature to survive and thrive in conditions other probiotics can't. Ganeden BC30 is able to deliver active probiotics ten times more effectively than the probiotics in yogurt. Since the prunes are prebiotic too, the probiotic is able to feed off them to effectively support your overall wellness and digestive health!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (5.3oz) Container of Unsweetened Coconut Yogurt (about ½ cup)
  • 1 Cup Frozen Cauliflower
  • 5 Mariani Probiotic Pitted Prunes
  • ¼ Cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1 TB Milled Flax Seed
  • ½ Tsp Pure Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Extract
  • ½ Tsp Turmeric
  • ½ Tsp Ground Ginger
  • 1 Cup Unsweetened Coconut Milk (or non-dairy milk of choice)

Instructions

  1. Place all the ingredients in a blender (in order as listed).
  2. Blend until creamy smooth.
  3. Pour into a glass for 1 large serving or 2 small servings.

    Great recipe, Rebecca! You know, I kept hearing about cauliflower in smoothies and at first I thought it was gross, but then I decided to try it and it blew my mind! Cauliflower makes a smoothie so creamy! And with chocolate, it's probably even better. Will try this soon!

    Can you believe that I have never heard of these prunes? I looked up a store locator that carries them, really thinking they couldn't possibly be sold near me, because I have never seen this brand and BOOM! literally sold in several places including a store in walking distance...who knew? YOU DID! thanks for this post...trying it this week.

      Chocolate is always healthy when if comes in the form of unsweetened natural cocoa powder, which is what I always use for chocolate foods.
