This week was going alright until Thursday night when I got an email basically telling I should drop my microeconomics class because it is projected that I will fail the course. Lovely. I really don’t know the point of that, since if I dropped I wouldn’t even be a student anymore. But I am not going to let that ruin my weekend. (Which does involve a huge packet for that said class, a UW paper, and studying for my world history mid-term. O the joys await!) I had grand plans of traipsing over to the White House to see whats been happening with all those shenanigans over there lately, but the forecast is rainy and cold. :/ This week is going to the gutter.
Besides all that, I know I have a fun giveaway for you all next week so be on the look out! I’m also going to randomly state my obsession with adding tahini to everything! Soom Foods Tahini is the bomb. I’ve just been slathering it on chicken, fish, potatoes, you name it. I already have an open jar, but I randomly won a giveaway (that I don’t remember entering) and won a new jar that came this week! Woohoo tahini abundance! (They have chocolate tahini which I need to try…or I could just add my own cocoa powder to my original…)
And now I’m off to go teach my UW class about analyzing the social sciences in essay writing with my partner Pierre. Should be a good time. See you all Monday!
Tuesday: Allowing Myself To Embrace It
Wednesday: Tomato Basil Cauliflower Rice

Life, Mind, Body, Spirit:
How about right now? Who’s with me!
It’s all about taking chances and going for it!
I need to give this another try.
If only it were that easy :/
Simply speechless. Plus you must read the article Heather links to at the end!
Don’t get upset and angry by the little inconsequential things!
Great ways to get your sweat on!
You crazy runners 😉
Interesting and enlightening!
Jen is such a beautiful yogi and I found what she had to say about her relationship with yoga very moving.
Yes! Screw the “militarization!” I like my peaceful lifting sessions and workouts so much better!
One day I would love to do one!
One day I also need to try real hot yoga…not my makeshift hot yoga in my non-ACed room in the summer 😉
Love this kinda stuff!
Okay so I’m pretty sure 47-50 are maybe healthy (CA, WA, IA), otherwise…I see the reason for the obesity epidemic, haha!
No longer just for greens!
Sadly guys, I need to, no HAVE to, lay off for a while. 🙁
The list is here again!
Total goodness all in one place!
The food holidays are crazy right now!
Love experimenting with new flour combos!
Something has got to help!
Amen to this guy! REAL Celiacs unite! I love what he says about gluten-free product swapping (7:40ish)!
Okay, but when you really truly have to be gluten-free, haters and discrimination is obnoxious.
Very nicely said!
Blogging, Social Media, Technology:
Loved this one!
How to make working with brands work best for you!
I felt burnt out a few weeks ago, but recently I have been full of ideas!
Another month and plenty more ideas!
Sounds good in theory, but seems pretty “arrogant” to me.
These look great! Can someone please do #3!
Haha! Have you seen this site!?
You’ll always have something to do!

Cauliflower Rice with Creamy Pumpkin Maca Sauce. So much beautiful produce, so much flavor!
Balsamic Caramelized Onion Hummus. Now that is a flavorful hummus!
MiracleNaise: Soy-Free Mayo. A creamy vegan delicacy!
A few things I loved about my week or am grateful for:
+ I hit 1000 Facebook Likes! Now it’s over that, but how awesome! I don’t even use my page much 😛 Thanks guys! XOXO
+ Another week closer to seeing my mom! She is coming down in a few weeks!!!
+ Tea. Thank god for tea. Like I mentioned above, I need to lay off the coffee. I stopped drinking it for years due to my horrible reflux and messed up digestive track system. Obviously drinking more than one cup a day was a bad idea. Thus, tea is my drink of choice for the time being 😛
+ Again, working out has been feeling so good. Lifting weights is definitely the highlight of my week! (Even though I closed my finger in the cable hook and now it’s black and blue…) Haha!
So tell me:
+ How did you week go? Any fun weekend plans?
+ What was you favorite post from the week?
+ Latest food obsession? Tahini.
