Down and out! That’s what happened to me from middle of the night Tuesday through Thursday. I basically lost a whole day of my life Wednesday. I slept the entire day, couldn’t even look at the screen of my phone, let alone promote the blog post I had go up. (If you noticed, I totally disappeared). I never EVER get sick like this…ever! The headache I had was unreal and I had a fever! I think the last time I had a fever was in 2nd grade when I had pneumonia! (Haha!) We’re assuming I caught it from my dad. All I can say now is TGIF! As I haven’t been able to move my body for the last 48 hours, I’m hoping to ease into the weekend and maybe actually act like a human again today.
So I really hope your week was a lot better than mine, but here’s to a great weekend for all of us! And I hope you’ve been enjoying all these circa 2014 recipes I’ve been posting! It’s my mission to get the old ones published before I get to the good new stuff! (Make sure you’re following me on Instagram since that’s where I share all my sneak peeks at what’s to come!)
Monday: Cranberry Bean & Pepper Tacos
Tuesday: What To Avoid With A Wheat Allergy
Wednesday: Cinnamon Cookie Oat Bake

These are super helpful!
I don’t even know where to start. This woman is amazing. This is how I’ve felt for so long and I’m so sick of all this “fake community” and cliques. This is why I still feel like I’m in middle school and high school. I guess that just means all this is human nature no matter what aspect of life we’re talking about. But I’m done too and slowing weeding out the things and people I no longer want on my screen or virtual life.
This is such a great resource! Bookmark it!
Some tips from successful food bloggers.
I really do want to try making some of my own!
Hahaha! Go ahead and use it!

Banana Dandelion Pancakes. These beautiful cakes make me swoon 🙂
Grilled Sweet Potatoes with Cilantro Vinaigrette. It’s all in the sauce…and those grill marks!
Maple Glazed Chicken. This looks like a stellar chicken dish! So easy too!
Broad Bean, Pea and Mint Dip. I just love the intense green and fresh mint!
Mushroom Sang Choy Bow. This is the kind of dish that makes me love cooking!
3 Ingredient Sugar-Free Peanut Butter Popsicles. Summertime bliss on a stick!
A few things I loved about my week or am grateful for:
+ My cookbook collection increased by at least 12 new books over the last week or two. My cookbook addiction….it’s a beautiful thing!
+ My Hamilton Beach food processor (the new one) was sent to me, after my old one just broke on the second use. I hope this one actually…lives.
+ Here’s to a much better next few days for health and happiness!
So tell me:
+ When’s the last time you totally got smashed with flu/virus/sickness and were just out of total commission? Um…never…except this time. :/
+ Favorite thing to snag at a Farmer’s Market? Random, but the only food that didn’t make me feel nausea looking at or thinking about this whole time was the perfect sweet dark red lovely strawberries awaiting me in the fridge (and now…they weren’t from a farmer’s market..bu I digress!) I hope to get to a market soon!
