Friday Finisher 2/19/16

Published: Feb 19, 2016 · Modified: Dec 26, 2019 by Rebecca Pytell · This post may contain affiliate links.

Happy Friday! Okay, so we have one more full week of February (already, I know!) But the winter seems like it's getting worse! This week....the cold and wind was utterly insane! Now as I go to check the weather for this weekend...I see it says it will be sunny and in the 50s???? What is happening!? Life is confusing, isn't it? This must be why bears and bunnies hibernate during the winter. That would be nice! I know there are still you crazy folks out there that love the winter! My 2 lab partners said the ADORE this weather and would rather have a zero degree day than a 100 degree day. I just looked on in shame. More power to them, but I'll just stay inside and bake something...and drink coffee 😛

Enough weather rambles, I'll let you browse the Finisher (since that's what you came here for!) while I wait in major anticipation for my new tripod to arrive! This one was recommended to be by a fellow blogger and she said it's amazing and it was so reasonable priced! My first REAL tripod which I'm in dire need of right now with this terrible winter lighting! Happy weekend my foodies! Stay warm and bright!

Great links. I loved the video of the vet and the pit bull and the article about C students. I know so many kids from my community who kill themselves to get straight As and they are so stressed out. The kids who are considered average students definitely live a more rich and creative life.

Thank you so much for linking to that Whole30 post! I honestly didn't know what this new trend was all about.. I've heard it once but wasn't motivated enough to look it up. It's not for me though... I just had to avoid alcohol for 3-4 weeks due to an operation - I'm not giving it up again. Hahaa, that sounds worse than it is. No.. but missing out on legumes doesn't sound like fun either.

Ah!!! You're so lucky over there "across the pond". Keep your innocence!
The whole things (pun not intended) is just kind of stupid. There is no reason to eat like that, even for 30 days. Eating some quinoa or a chickpea is no going to kill you. You basically are only allowed to eat eggs...and...water....gross!

I am going to go with warm and sunny any day! It's beginning to get warmer here and it was SO NICE that I actually got to sit on a patio outside. For us Canadians, 40ºF with sunshine is good enough for patio weather. My spring coat is out and I'll be so bummed if we go back to freezing temps this week... I really needed that "don't focus on the dog shit" post, thank you for sharing!

Now I have to make poptarts for Dave. You should see my collection of notebooks - omg so crazy! I can't wait to read the post on ruining your metabolism. I have so many clients right now that weigh over 200 lbs that eat less than 1200 calories a day and they don't believe me that they are ruining themselves. UGH. maybe if I send them this it will help! I see the same 100 pins in pinterest, I hate the new feed 🙁

Your lab partners have the crazies. When I was in NJ for grad school, it only snowed 3-ish times and one of my friends there was super sad and told me to bring the sunshine back to CA where it belonged. :O!

Yay for multiple uses for rice cooker paddles! 😛

The C student one is something I feel like the place where I grew up needs to read. (But they'd probably bust a couple arteries in the process.) People here are ultra-ultra competitive. x_x

The food section was just out of this world this week! I mean french dip and pop tarts and thin mints and I never knew Miss Marzipan on IG had a blog either 😮 I have a million tabs open, gotta go explore them all. Definitely 100 degrees, I wouldn't even complain about sweating I promise. And cravings, hmm...probably just nicecream that's really all I want lately. The more I eat the more I want it...I'm a weirdo 🙂 Happy weekend, enjoy the warmer days <3

Can I choose something between 0 and 100? I hate both! I did read the marriage article and agree with the comment that being and staying married for years is certainly an accomplishment, though just getting married is not. I'm thinking most couples who've been together 10+ years would agree! BTW my kids saw me scroll passed those pop tarts and demanded I made then NOW lol 🙂
