Happy Friday! So what have I been up to this week? Remember my big 15-page research paper and project I was working on all last semester? Well, my research and work was chosen out of 400+ students to be presented at the undergraduate research writing conference and will also be PUBLISHED in the university undergraduate scholarly journal! I presented at the conference on Wednesday in front of a packed room of people and it was fantastic (I do enjoy public speaking!) I'm so proud of my research and these accolades just bolster my confidence in my chosen major and future career path in public health. I'm telling you, there are a lot of reasons to be grateful for celiac disease!
When you're able to dedicate an entire semester worth of work on a topic you are so passionate and invested in, the work becomes easy and exciting! I also learned that people are fascinated by celiac disease and I hope I'll be able to further my research on the various aspects I covered in my paper before graduation (and beyond!) I did chicken out on having someone Facebook live my presentation...but hey, at least I thought about doing it 😉
