Alright friends, last Friday did not go as planned. I go on my typical grocery run in the morning, it happens to be pouring rain and storming (again. It always rains on Fridays here), but I get in the car anyway. As I'm driving I start noticing this weird static-like scrapping noise. I thought it was the faulty unworking radio or just some of the rain water clogged somewhere. It got worse though, the car was driving fine (so I kept going), just for that terrible noise. It dawns on me what probably has happened, so after I pull into a parking space I know that when I open the door and look under the car (truck actually) it won't be a pretty sight. The muffler, exhaust pipes, all those undercarriage parts were just hanging off.
As it was hanging in a position that could flip the car if I drove it home, I was stuck (trapped) in the grocery until rescue arrived. It's pretty embarrassing when you're the one having a massive toe-truck squeeze into one of the busiest parking lots in town and get your sad excuse for a vehicle hooked up and toed away. Thankfully my mom was able to pick me up a like 3 hours later...but I was not ready to spend my day in the grocery. I love grocery shopping, don't get me wrong, but, that was not fun.
I'm hoping now that I have a vehicle back, when I go grocery shopping today...it will be my normal quick haul! So here's to a better start to the weekend (not trapped in grocery stores and with working cars!)
