O look! Another drinkable recipe! This time, we're getting a wee bit fancier, but still super easy and just 3 main ingredients again! Your favorite, and mine, the great Starbucks Frappuccino! I have not had a real 'Frap in many, many years. They used to be a regular treat back when I was in middle school. My mom still loves them and is always coming to me making sure the flavors she wants are gluten-free. I stick to my black iced (or hot) coffee when it comes to Starbucks unless we're talking Pumpkin Spice Lattes!

But, let's reminisce over the years when I was able to and did enjoy some Frappuccinos. They always remind me of 2 things. Trips to the mall and trips into NYC. The trips to the mall were what we Jersey kids did to hangout with friends. One of us would have to force our parents to drive the crew to the "big mall" about 30 minutes away and then somehow plan a pick-up time or have a different parent finish the job. There was lots of complaining from both sides, but...there was also Starbucks in that mall! Frappuccinos!

Frappuccinos really remind me of my trips to NYC with my mom to go to my modeling "go-sees" (i.e. job opportunities). Yes, I modeled when I was younger and was represented by Product Model Management. It was a fun gig and experience to have before missing so much school was no longer the direction I wanted to go in (plus is was rather expensive to be taking the train into the city every other day!) But no matter how late it was coming home, we'd always stop at the Starbucks in Penn Station and grab Vanilla Bean Frappuccinos for the ride home! I'm pretty sure that was the only flavor I've ever had, but that's boring when you're making it at home! I decided to really play it up and make a gluten-free cookies and cream version! This one is out of the park and I'm pretty sure you won't be wasting your money on the store-bought one anymore 😉

Can you say cookie, coffee, frappy goodness? So thick and creamy, decadent and with that coffee power we all love! It may just be the perfect treat to have after a long day of work or you know, just a nice relaxing weekend treat! These may just be perfect for some marshmallow fluff too! It will be less pretty (unless you have a whipped cream can), but still tasty 😉 Now I'll be sipping on some NYC dreams, you with me?

So tell me:

+ Favorite Frappuccino flavor? My mom likes the caramel one now (I think).

+ Have you ever tried to get a secret menu item from Starbucks? Apparently, a cookies and cream Frappuccino is an option there. They just use java chips as the "cookie" though.

We are in the Starbucks phase with our daughter right now. She and her friends love to go and hang out and talk over a really expensive coffee. Makes me wish we had stock in Starbucks. This one sounds so delicious, I bet I could make this for her and her friends when they come over. This would make me the best mom ever. Thanks!

This is so fun! I'm not a coffee drinker (or a frap drinker), but I appreciate most everyone is. We actually didn't even have Starbucks in the town I was growing up in or even the city next door, so it wasn't something I even really heard of until I went to University.
Although this drink isn't for me - my husband will love it =) I've been trying to switch to cold brew, I hear it's good!
    I'm pinning & sharing.
Hope you're having a great weekend Rebecca =)

Ohh I loved the chocolate frappucchino before I went vegan. Thankfully we don't have a starbucks in our city, so it's not too bad 😀 This drink looks like the ideal vegan alternative. Cookie frappuchinos are way better anyways <3

I've never had a Frappuccino because I felt like they'd taste way too sweet and never really cared enough to spend the money to find out. And I was just talking about the secret menu (and the pink drink specifically) with my cousins. Honestly, secret menus throw me off so much. I feel like you have to be so much cooler than me to actually order off them. I've done it at Panera before, but I'm pretty sure Panera got rid of their secret menu, so... that went really well for me 😛

Goodness gracious this looks good! 😉 How funny is it that we both talked about trips to NYC in our posts today? Meanwhile, so interesting to hear about your modeling career! It must've been a real treat to stop for frappes after go-sees. 🙂 I love that you made your own version with just a few ingredients. Hand me two, please! 😉

Haha! I always feel like you'd have to use air quotes or "wink" when you say your order then! And you'd have to do it in a big city location! I know my rural NJ locations would not do secret menu drinks (from what I've read)!

I heard a lot of the secret menu items aren't really "real"....at least in some locations they won't do it...but I'd be so curious to ask! Haha!
