Friday Finisher 8/12/16

Published: Aug 12, 2016 · Modified: Oct 31, 2019 by Rebecca Pytell · This post may contain affiliate links.

Happy Friday foodies! We're in the midst of some gloomy, rainy, and o so humid weather right now. There are a few more big cooking/baking projects I want to get done before I have to head back to school, so I've been dodging the clouds as best I can to get some decent photos! (The struggles of food blogging). What's also a struggle? The Olympics! They are not showing the good things at the right times :/ I've mostly been watching events online instead so I'm not totally disappointed. Anyone else feeling a little "left out"?

I'll be back here on Sunday for a quick special post, so I hope you'll stop by! Until then, have a lovely (hopefully sunny) weekend and keep enjoying the last of your summer weeks! (I can't believe some people in the country are already back in school! I almost cried! And I'm starting to see "fall" themes and recipes everywhere...not yet!!!!!

It's been super rainy here too for the last 2 weeks. But I'm thankful it's not 110 degrees! That soup looks amazing!

They are "prime time" but they switch back and forth and then things don't get shown till like 11pm or midnight...sorry, but this girl is fast asleep!

I am super sad that I've missed most of the Olympics too (sigh, schedule), but to be real, the only event I ever seriously watch is women's gymnastics, so hopefully I'll eventually catch it on YouTube! I've definitely been trying to dodge clouds with this weird weather too!

You know I think this already, but I also think the gluten-free thing is due to a placebo effect. >_>

Can't wait to check out these links! :]

Yay to no more boot and crutches!! Woohoo!! That's gotta feel good! I am in total disbelief at how fast summer is flying - when do you go back to school?! Kids around here go back after Labor Day, so summer is still in full swing here. Looks like I've missed a few of your recent posts and update, so I'll have to catch up this weekend. As always, lots of great links here! Haha! My hubby was telling me about that Hampton Creek craziness the other day...that's bonkers! Happy weekend, my friend! ❤️❤️

Yes! We start after labor day! It feels good to know I still have a few more weeks! Need to soak it up!

I'm so looking forward to fall, but not excited about the back to school part. I'm a teacher and I like my break as much as the kids do, maybe more, hehe. And my pantry is so small, those are amazing, I always say, "one day when I'm rich" haha!

Haha, I am NOT looking forward to fall, regardless of going back to school!

Those matcha sandwiches are so pretty. I still need to try matcha! The kids in my town went back to school on Wednesday. College went back last week. Florida starts so early, but there's nothing else to do with the heat haha
