Friday Finisher 8/19/16

Published: Aug 19, 2016 · Modified: Oct 31, 2019 by Rebecca Pytell · This post may contain affiliate links.

Only 2 more weeks, guys :O I need to start packing, or at least making a list I can go through and check off when the time comes. No matter what, it's unavoidable, I'm sure I'll be over-packing. When you pack, it's also a good time to look at all you "stuff" and get rid of some things like clothes, food (you accumulate a lot as a food blogger; not to mention appliances!), random things that I didn't even know I still had. My closet is still a black hole of all things forgotten. My closet is about the size of my room, but with a slanted ceiling so most of the space can't be fully utilized, which may be a good thing! I literally climb over mounds and mounds of "stuff" and hope i don't break anything important when I need to get back in there...which only needs to be done in times like these!

These are the things I should have done over the summer, but it was always just too tiring to even think about! We'll just have to make due 😉 I'm typing this up and polishing up the Friday Finisher on Thursday and it is pouring right now, still in the midst of our crazy heatwave! Which means today is a good day for the slow cooker (which I'm about to prep!) I hope you have a dry, sunny, not too hot weekend ahead! Cheers!

It's such a great idea to recap the week - the recipes you posted look delicious. I like the idea of reflecting on what the week brought, and trying to figure out what else needs to be focused on. Thanks for sharing!

These posts are just curated gathered articles for my readers. There is no "reflecting"...

I used to refuse to count audiobooks, but they're all the reading I'm doing that's not for school right now, so... they count 😉
Good luck packing! I'm also an overpacker, but I'm making a conscious effort to purge some of that stuff as I go this time.

I think that's the goal! Try to be ruthless and get rid of stuff while only packing the essentials!

I definitely have to be in the mood to organize. I wish it was something I automatically did when I buy something new.
