Really though, if it were up to me, breakfast would be the only meal allowed 😉 I live by the old saying, “breakfast is the most important meal of the day,” wholeheartedly! Since I do most of my workouts right when I wake-up, I am ravenous by breakfast time. Breakfast has to be filling and wholesome, plus it needs to be carb-focused and sweet! I’ll never be a savory breakfast girl, as you know, and I always needs some sweetness to satisfy my taste buds in the morning. There is no other way to get me to start the day off right!
I also love some texture and crunch. That’s why you never see me with a smoothie in my hand. I’ll take some cereal and an unripe pear, thank you very much! I even wait to have my morning coffee until about 10-11 am. Maybe it’s because I chug 24 ounces of water before breakfast that turns me off to any more liquids for a while! Whatever works, right? We all have our breakfast quirks! But I think that just adds to the charm and magic of breakfast and why I love it so much!
Of course, I want to start my day fun, but also nutritious and delicious! Luckily Van’s Foods has some fabulous gluten-free products to bring all that together! - In a microwave safe bowl, combine the first 5 ingredients. Mix and cook for 2-3 minutes depending on your microwave instructions.
- Remove the bowl and add in 1/4 cup of the cereal, mix, and then top the bowl with the last 2 tablespoons of cereal and drizzle on the date syrup.

I think this deserves a very big “GOOD MORNING”! Everything you want and nothing you don’t. I’m telling you, anything with cinnamon (my obsession) and cereal (my other obsession) will give you magic powers for the day! I’ve also said before that I should turn gluten-free/allergy-free food blog into a gluten-free/allergy-free BREAKFAST food blog…and that may just happen one day 😉 Until then, I’ve always got your back if you need some breakfast inspiration to fuel your day!
